Hello and welcome! I am Siobhan "Chevy" Allen, and I am a proud Farm Wife, Mama to two boys, and Horse Lover.
Horses are amazing creatures. They are a mirror, reflecting back to us our hopes, dreams, and emotions. There is something about horses that attracts strong, independent and gritty women. For those of us that have a welcomed a horse into our lives, and into our hearts, we have been blessed to begin a journey of self-discovery and growth, for in horsemanship we are never done learning.
In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and once it has done so, they will have to accept that their life will be radically changed."
I understand the challenges that come with the passion for horsemanship. This is not a gentle hobby. This is a lifestyle that involves another thinking, feeling, independent creature. There are highs and lows along this journey. It is not an easy path to follow, especially if your dreams include competition with your equine partner. Because horses are a mirror that reflect back our innermost thoughts and feelings, to be successful as a horsewoman we need to be balanced and in tune with own thoughts, feelings, and personal growth.
If you are dedicated to this journey, and you are dedicated to growing and being the best horsewoman, and your best self, then I would like to join you along your journey. I help western performance horse riders "get gritty" and master the mental skills to be more successful with their horse and reach their horsemanship dreams. I am here to be a helping hand along the way, as a cheerleader, accountability partner, and coach. After all, the horsemanship journey is better when we ride along with a friend!
I recently was a guest on The She Rides To Win Show with June Stevens. This was such a fun podcast to record! Together we answered common listener questions, including handling fear and anxiety, the pressure to perform, and slumps. Make sure to follow She Rides to Win on Facebook for updates and new podcasts!
